More Poe
Got a new piece brewin' up, the ending scene from "Cask of the Amontillado." This is a collaboration instigated by my former classmate Mike Puncekar who is working on the color half of it. My intent was to show a more sorrowful revenge, rather than angry, being exacted on Fortunato. I felt it went with the slowness and contemplated way he was executed. Catacombs were a blast to draw.

Yes!! This is my favorite Edgar Allen Poe story, I'm really excited to see how this turns out!
ReplyDeleteI love the elongated limbs and the way you decided to compile all the bones and skulls together.
Whoa! Delightfully Macabre! I can't wait to see it in color.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, killer composition! Tells the story beautifully!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to paint this sucker. You really did out do yourself here... love the comp so much. Perfect amount of decorative design elements in there.
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice so far. Looking forward to the collaboration also. Have fun rendering skulls Mike!
